Chapter 99: Surah Al-Zilzal (The Shaking)
99:1
Play Translation
اِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ When the earth is shaken
الْاَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَاۙ with her shaking,

When the earth is shaken with her shaking,
99:2
Play Translation
وَ اَخْرَجَتِ And the earth brings forth
الْاَرْضُ اَثْقَالَهَاۙ her burdens,

99:3
Play Translation
وَ قَالَ الْاِنْسَانُ And man says:
مَا لَهَاۚ What has befallen her?

99:4
Play Translation
يَوْمَىِٕذٍ تُحَدِّثُ On that day she will tell
اَخْبَارَهَاۙ her news,

99:5
Play Translation
بِاَنَّ رَبَّكَ As if thy Lord
اَوْحٰى لَهَاؕ had revealed to her.

99:6
Play Translation
يَوْمَىِٕذٍ On that day
يَّصْدُرُ النَّاسُ men will come forth
اَشْتَاتًا١ۙ۬ in sundry bodies
لِّيُرَوْا that they may be shown
اَعْمَالَهُمْؕ their works.

On that day men will come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works.
99:7
Play Translation
فَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ So he who does
مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ an atom’s weight of good
خَيْرًا يَّرَهٗؕ will see it.

So he who does an atom’s weight of good will see it.
99:8
Play Translation
وَ مَنْ يَّعْمَلْ And he who does
مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ an atom’s weight of evil
شَرًّا يَّرَهٗ will see it.
