Chapter 97: Surah Al-Qadr (The Majesty)
97:1

اِنَّاۤ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ Surely We revealed it
فِيْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِۚۖ on the Night of Majesty
Verse 1
English Translation by Maulana Muhammad Ali
Surely We revealed it on the Night of Majesty —
97:2
Play Translation
وَ مَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ And what will make thee comprehend
مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِؕ what the Night of Majesty is?
Verse 2
English Translation by Maulana Muhammad Ali
And what will make thee comprehend what the Night of Majesty is?
97:3
Play Translation
لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ١ The Night of Majesty is
خَيْرٌ مِّنْ better than
اَلْفِ شَهْرٍؕؔ a thousand months
Verse 3
English Translation by Maulana Muhammad Ali
The Night of Majesty is better than a thousand months.
97:4
Play Translation
تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةُ The angels descend
وَ الرُّوْحُ فِيْهَا and the Spirit in it
بِاِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ١ۚ by the permission of their Lord
مِنْ كُلِّ اَمْرٍۙۛ for every affair

The angels and the Spirit descend in it by the permission of their Lord — for every affair
97:5
Play Translation
سَلٰمٌ١ۛ۫ Peace!
هِيَ حَتّٰى مَطْلَعِ it is till the rising
الْفَجْرِ of the morning.
