Chapter 94: Surah Ash-Sharh: The Expansion
94:1
Play Translation
اَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ Have We not expanded
لَكَ صَدْرَكَۙ for thee thy breast

Have We not expanded for thee thy breast,
94:2
Play Translation
وَ وَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ And removed from thee
وِزْرَكَۙ thy burden,

الَّذِيْۤ اَنْقَضَ Which weighed down
ظَهْرَكَۙ thy back

وَ رَفَعْنَا لَكَ And exalted for thee
ذِكْرَكَؕ thy mention?

فَاِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ Surely with difficulty
يُسْرًاۙ is ease

Surely with difficulty is ease,

اِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ With difficulty surely
يُسْرًاۙ is ease

فَاِذَا فَرَغْتَ So when thou art free (from anxiety)
فَانْصَبْۙ work hard

وَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ And make thy Lord
فَارْغَبْ thy exclusive object
