Chapter 104: Surah Al-Humazah (The Slanderer)
104:1

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ Woe to every slanderer,
لُّمَزَةِۙ defamer!

Woe to every slanderer, defamer!
104:2

ا۟لَّذِيْ جَمَعَ Who amasses
مَالًا وَّ عَدَّدَهٗۙ wealth and counts it

Who amasses wealth and counts it—
104:3
Play Translation
يَحْسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَهٗۤ He thinks that his wealth will
اَخْلَدَهٗۚ make him abide.

104:4
Play Translation
كَلَّا Nay, he will certainly be
لَيُنْۢبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِۖ hurled into the crushing disaster;

Nay, he will certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster;
104:5

وَ مَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ And what will make thee realize
مَا الْحُطَمَةُؕ what the crushing disaster is?

And what will make thee realize what the crushing disaster is?
104:6

نَارُ It is the Fire
اللّٰهِ الْمُوْقَدَةُۙ kindled by Allah,

104:7

الَّتِيْ تَطَّلِعُ Which rises
عَلَى الْاَفْـِٕدَةِؕ over the hearts.

اِنَّهَا Surely it is
عَلَيْهِمْ مُّؤْصَدَةٌۙ closed in on them,
