Chapter 102: Surah Al-Takathur
(The Abundance of Wealth)
102:1

اَلْهٰىكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُۙ Abundance diverts you,

حَتّٰى زُرْتُمُ Until you come to
الْمَقَابِرَؕ the graves.

كَلَّا Nay!
سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَۙ you will soon know,

ثُمَّ كَلَّا Nay! Again,
سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَۙ you will soon know.

102:5

كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ Nay, would that you knew
عِلْمَ الْيَقِيْنِؕ with a certain knowledge!

102:6

لَتَرَوُنَّ You will certainly see
الْجَحِيْمَۙ hell

You will certainly see hell,
102:7

ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا Then you will see it
عَيْنَ الْيَقِيْنِۙ with certainty of sight

Then you will see it with certainty of sight.
102:8

ثُمَّ Then
لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ you shall certainly be questioned
يَوْمَىِٕذٍ on that day
عَنِ النَّعِيْمِ about the boons.

Then on that day you shall certainly be questioned about the boons.
90:9

وَ لَاۤ اَنَا عَابِدٌ Nor shall I serve
مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْ that which ye serve,
